About Autism Plus
A group of passionate parents founded Autism Plus over 30 years ago, bound by a common cause: wanting the very best for their children who all had autism. Three decades on, as a leading Yorkshire charity we are empowering more people every day to achieve more than they had dared to dream was possible.
Across Yorkshire and the Humber we support adults and young people with autism, learning disabilities and mental health conditions to live independent lives. We are looking to recruit a Social Care Support Worker who share our values and want to make a positive difference to work in our Thorne service. Experience and qualifications aren’t always necessary for our roles as full training is provided - are you the person we are looking for?
What we can offer you:
Are you looking to improve the quality of life for people with autism and learning disabilities in a person-centred service? This role will be primarily supporting our individuals within the Thorne, Doncaster area.
Within the role of Social Care Support Worker you will be required to support individuals with varying and complex needs. The cover required involves afters, days or waking nights. Sleep overs are required.
Managing challenging behaviour will be a key feature of the role, something that all staff receive full and in depth training in, arming them with the strategies to do just this.
Autism Plus offers fantastic training & development programmes allowing the opportunity to study to NVQ level and beyond to help you develop your skills and career.
A basic understanding of Autism and Learning Disabilities is essential for this role.
If this is something that interests you, and you feel you could make a real difference, we would love to hear from you!
