Our supported living service helps people to live independently in the community
Across Yorkshire and Humber, we work with our specialist housing partners to find suitable homes and build support packages around their wishes. Our supported living service focuses on helping people to live their lives, and take control, with the same choices, rights and responsibilities as anyone else.
Supported living means that a person is supported to live their life the way they want; housing and support is built around the individual. We offer personalised support in home life, from accessing education, training and employment, engaging in activities and hobbies and developing friendships and relationships.
For one person it may be a few hours of support a week to live alone, for another it might be round the clock support to live in their own home, or it could be a shared house with friends. Each package is designed to meet individual needs while ensuring people are in control and have choice on how they are supported, and by whom.
Complex needs and forensic services
We support individuals with complex needs and forensic services in their own homes, working with our specialist housing partners to adapt homes to suit an individuals’ needs. Each person is supported by a small, consistent team to support the development of positive, trusting relationships. Specialist, intense support packages are designed with the individual and includes rehabilitation with the aim of progressing and being part of the local community.
