Night Team Leader

Across Yorkshire and the Humber we support adults and young people with autism, learning disabilities and mental health conditions to live independent lives. We are looking to recruit a Night Team Leader who shares our values and wants to make a positive difference to work in our Thorne (Doncaster). Experience and qualifications aren’t always necessary for our roles as full training is provided - are you the person we are looking for?

What are the requirements and responsibilities of the Role?

Shifts starting at 9.30pm and worked on a rota basis across the week to meet the needs of the service, the role will be responsible for managing all waking night and sleep-in staff, ensuring that all shifts are covered, and undertaking audits and spot-checks.

The role will work alongside our existing teams and services, and is integral to support the Registered Managers across our services in the Thorne area. A key part of your role will require that you understand the principles of Supported Living and have previous experience of working with individuals with complex needs, including ASD, Mental Health and Challenging Behaviour. You will be instrumental in supporting all referrals/assessments, transitions and implementation of new business, including liaising with partner agencies and commissioners.

The Team Leader’s main duties will include conducting quality audits, co-ordinating rota’s to ensure Service User’s requirements and needs are met, comply with organisational policies and procedures. Ensuring individual programmes, care plans and risk assessments, are prepared, up to date and implemented with a willingness to undertake relevant training in accordance with the Job Description.

Skills required are planning, organisational team building, facilitating training to staff teams, motivation and mentoring of staff, time management, excellent communication skills, excellent problem solving/decision making skills, good standards of report writing and a desire to improve personal development.

A short summary:

• To be responsible for the operational management of night staff  and  ensuring that the services provided  will meet the needs and choices of service users and their families, by ensuring that all contract requirements and expectations are fully met.

•  To ensure the people we support receive tailored person centred support which meets and improves upon health and well-being needs, enabling them to enjoy a fulfilling and valued life, by ensuring service users participate in the community and are given the opportunity to develop their abilities as fully as possible.
