A-Plus Drumlines at Special Olympics

Amazing performance by A-Plus Drumline

Many congratulations to all members of A-Plus DrumLine on their performance at the GB Special Olympics opening ceremony in Sheffield in August. Despite the long periods of waiting around, a fairly damp dress rehearsal and a torrential downpour during their evening show the group were amazing in front of a crowd of 15,000 people at Bramall Lane.

Roger Steel said “The line played better than I’ve ever known and received a fantastic response from a large enthusiastic audience. I am so proud of all that the group have achieved over the last couple of years and of the way they responded to the challenge of such a high-profile gig. You have put the name of A-Plus DrumLine firmly out in the public eye with a BANG!”

Drumlines would like to thank all those who have supported them, including their “roadies” Michael, Barry and Chris, wardrobe mistress Jo, fantastic coach driver Nick and to Jo, Karen, Victoria and all the Autism Plus team for their support. Roger added “our next challenge is to work on expanding the line with new members (please spread the word) and to learn more new music for future performances.”

DrumLines have a three-week rehearsal break, with practise resuming on Tuesday 5th September – 5pm to 6pm at Autism Plus Exchange Brewery, 2 Bridge Street, Sheffield, S3 8NS
