Earlier this month an amazing supporter, Ray Watts organised a 21 mile sponsored walk, calling at four football grounds, for autism awareness month and #Challenge30. The brave group pushed themselves to their limits to complete the walk, and pushed through the pain! Andy Girdham dressed up in 80’s fancy dress which brought them plenty of attention from passing cars! After starting at Rotherham United at 9 am, they called at businesses on the route who had donated or supported the event, including the Frog and Parrot pub who raised £160 and Westfield Health, Chairman Graham Moore who presented a cheque for£1,000.
After calling at Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United they finally came to the end at Chesterfield FC for a buffet and a well- earned rest! What an achievement! Well done to everyone who took part, including our four-legged friends. Thank you to the following businesses for their support: Rotherham United, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Chesterfield FC, Tesco on Herries Road, The Frog and Parrott, Westfield Health, The Copthorne Hotel and Newcastle United. The money raised will go towards buying Sports equipment at the Autism Friendly Gym at Concord Sport centre in Sheffield and other sports
